Dear Sir/Madam,

Some of our Members informed us that IPRS is also issuing notices alongwith their tariff to Hotels & Restaurants throughout the country claiming the licence fee for the Special Events such as X-Mas and New Year Eve 2009 being organized by hotels and restaurants in their premises. FHRAI filed an Application in the High Court of Delhi for continuing the order dated 28.12.2007 in the captioned matter.

We are pleased to inform you that with the best efforts of our Advocate M/s Bhasin & Co. we are able to get the same Orders dated 28.12.2007.  It shall have effect for Christmas 2009 as well as New Years Eve 2009 which means Hotels and Restaurants who have submitted their Affidavits in terms of the order dated 19.12.2008 i.e. on or before 23.12.2008 will get the benefit of this order.  The members who did not file their Affidavits on or before 23.12.2008 will not get any benefit of these Orders.

Based on the Affidavits filed on or before 23.12.2008 M/s. IPRS will inform FHRAI the license fee payable by each hotel and on receipt of the communication from IPRS the member hotels shall be informed.

However, a copy of the Orders dated 28.12. 2007 and 19.12.2008 are being sent herewith.

Thanking you and with regards
