SUB: AN ADVISORY REGARDING “SAVE ENERGY” ISSUED BY MINISTRY OF POWER, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

Dear Member,

Please be informed that the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, under the Ministry of Power issued an Advisory dated 5th October, 2023, recommending simple and practicable measures to the large consumers of electricity, specifically for hotels. A copy of the advisory can be accessed through given below link.

In this regard, we have received a communication from  the Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India to circulate this advisory among our members.  The link of the same is given below:

As you may be aware that  at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties ( COP26) in Glasgow, the mission LiFE movement was introduced to the world by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. It is a worldwide movement  led by our country to urge people and communities  to lead a way of life that contributes to preservation of the environment. “Save Energy” is one of the eight TFL themes. It encourages tourists to contribute to conservation of energy through simple actions.
