SUB: NOTICE ISSUED BY FSSAI REGARDING CHANGES IN THE FOOD SAFETY TRAINING & CERTIFICATION (FOSTAC) PORTAL

Dear Member,

This is to inform you that the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI)  has issued a notice regarding “Changes in the Food Safety Training & Certification (FosTac) Portal”.

As per this notice, the lifetime validity / perpetual nature of the Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certificate has been revoked by the FSSAI w.e.f. February 1, 2024.

All FSS certificates will now have a validity of 2 years from the date of issue. The Food handler with an FSS certificate set to expire on 1st February 2024, should have to undergo refresher trainings for renewal of the certificate. These refresher courses will be of 4-8 hours duration for all Basic, Advance and Awarenesses FoSTaC Courses.  

We request all holders of FSS certificates to comply with the new FSSAI standards by taking the appropriate actions to renew their certificates before their expiration period.
