Sub:- Simplification of Form ‘C’
Dear Member,
we have received a communication from the Ministry of Tourism regarding Simplification of Form ‘C’.
You may be aware that, as per the Foreigners Act 1946 and Registration of Foreigners Rules, 1992, any person hosting a foreign guest for monetary consideration in India, even for few hours, should submit C-Forms.
The Hon’ble Union Home Minister discussed this matter with DGPs / IGPs in the conference held in 2022 and emphasized that the States should make filling up of Form C compulsory and if registration is not done within the seven days of check – in, strict action should be taken, even the license can also be cancelled of the defiant hotel.
In this regard, The Ministry of Tourism received suggestions for the simplification of Forms C for higher accuracy and elimination of redundant data on the foreign guests.
