Faridabad, June 5, 2025: To mark World Environment Day, the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), in collaboration with Jiva Ayurveda, Faridabad, and supported by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, hosted a special yoga session titled ‘Harit Yoga’ at Jivagram, Faridabad. The event beautifully combined the principles of wellness and environmental stewardship on a day globally dedicated to ecological awareness and sustainability.
Celebrated annually on June 5, World Environment Day serves as a vital reminder of our shared responsibility to safeguard the environment. Reflecting this year’s theme of ecological harmony, Harit Yoga was envisioned as a way to foster both physical well-being and a deeper connection with nature. The session witnessed the participation of 100 individuals, including 10 admitted patients from Jivagram, employees of Jiva Ayurveda, and members of the local community.
Harit Yoga is one of the ten signature programs envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, symbolizing the integration of inner balance with environmental harmony. Rooted in India’s ancient yogic traditions, the initiative is a timely call for sustainable living, conscious health practices, and respect for nature.
The event was graced by several dignitaries from Jiva Ayurveda, including, Mr. Madhusudan Chauhan, CEO; Ms. Kajal Chauhan, Executive Director; Ms. Meenakshi Chauhan, Director – HR; Ms. Neerja Chauhan, Executive Director; Mr. Jaiveer Singh, Head – HR; Mr. Barin Munshi, AGM – Clinics; Mr. Sushant Singh, AGM – Franchise Development; Mr. Rajeev Verma, AGM – Finance; Mr. Varun Mehndiratta, AGM – MRC and Mr. Sandeep Sharma, AGM – E-commerce.
Following the yoga session, a plantation drive was held to further reinforce the message of environmental commitment. Participants enthusiastically planted saplings across the Jivagram campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Madhusudan Chauhan, CEO of Jiva Ayurveda, said, "Yoga is not just a discipline for the body and mind—it is a bridge to nature. On this World Environment Day, through the practice of Harit Yoga, we are reminded of the harmony that exists between human health and the health of our environment”.

The event concluded on a reflective note, reinforcing the theme of World Environment Day and the message that a healthy planet begins with healthy individuals who value and nurture.
