Subject: Consideration of Carpet Area for Floor Size Measurement of Accommodation Units
Dear Member,
It is hereby informed that, as per the order issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, only the carpet area shall be considered while calculating the minimum floor area required under the classification/approval guidelines of accommodation units.

Accordingly, all future assessments and submissions shall be based on carpet area only.
