SUB: GOVERNMENT DISCONTINUES MANDATORY FILLING OF AIR SUVIDHA FORM

Dear Member,

We wish to inform your that the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India on 21st November 2022 decided to discontinue the mandatory filling of ‘Air Suvidha’ form for all international passengers. The decision has brought a huge relief for the inbound travellers, who had been facing various difficulties in filling the online Air Suvidha Form.

It is pertinent to mention that FHRAI, vide multiple representations had apprised the Ministry of Civil Aviation about the plights of inbound air passengers regarding this mandatory requirement. The problems ranged from passengers not being able to fill the online forms leading to many passengers missing their flights to India. There were difficulties in uploading passports and vaccination certificates on the online portal.

The removal of the mandatory filling of Air Suvidha forms for inbound international passengers is a very positive move by the government which would further boost the inbound tourism of India.

This is for the information of all FHRAI members. We would continue to work towards creating a conducive environment for the hospitality sector.
