Sub: Suggestions on the proposed amendments to Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020

Dear Member,

This is to inform you that the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on 23rd July 2020 had notified the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

Now the Department of Consumer Affairs has suggested some amendments in the said Rules and a draft document with amendments is enclosed for your reference. The suggested changes are given in track change mode (proposed additions in ‘blue’ and deletions in ‘red strikethrough’).

Members are requested to share their views/ comments/ suggestions on the proposed amendments to the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 so as to enable us to send to the Department.
